Lawrence A. Schaper, MD

Dr. Lawrence Schaper attended Murray State University and was a Lambda Chi Alpha.
He graduated Magna Cum Laude, in 1981 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. Upon graduation
he was accepted into the University Of Louisville School Of Medicine. Graduating
in 1985 he remained at the university, completing an internship in General Surgery
in 1986. Dr. Schaper continued on to complete his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery
at the University of Louisville in 1990. During this time period he was awarded
the Gerhard Kuntscher Award for outstanding resident teaching. After completing
his residency Dr. Schaper completed a fellowship at the University Of Texas Southwestern
Medical Center in adult reconstructive orthopaedic surgery.
Dr Schaper joined the practice in 1991. He is currently the team physician for Christian
Academy. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the
American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.
