Dr. Mark Petrik graduated from Bellarmine College, Suma Cum Laude, in 1979 with
a B.A. in Chemistry. He then proceeded to attend medical school at Vanderbilt University
in Nashville, Tennessee, graduating in 1983. Next, he completed a general surgical
internship at the University of Pennsylvania from 1983-1984. He remained there and
completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery in 1988. Upon completion of his residency,
Dr. Petrik traveled to New Zealand and worked at Middlemore Hospital in general
and pediatric orthopaedic care. After spending time in New Zealand, he did a hand
surgery fellowship at the Sydney Hospital in Sydney, Australia. When he returned
home Dr. Petrik completed a Fischer-Owen Foot and Ankle Fellowship at the University
of Louisville in 1991.
Dr. Petrik joined the practice in 1991. He is a member of the American Academy of
Orthopaedic Surgeons.
