Ed Howard PT, ATC

Ed Howard is a native of Harlan, Kentucky. After receiving an Associate of Science Degree from Southeast Christian College in Winchester, Kentucky in 1973, he proceeded to the University of Kentucky. He received his Bachelor of Health Science Degree in Physical Therapy in 1976. His final internship was in Sports Medicine with the University of Nebraska in 1976. While serving as Director of Physical Therapy at the Pattie A. Clay Hospital in Richmond, Kentucky from 1977-1981, he became certified as an Athletic Trainer through Eastern Kentucky University. Ed joined the Dr. Rudy J. Ellis Sports Medicine Center in 1981, the year it was opened by Dr. Rudy J. Ellis, Dr. Walter Badenhausen and Jerry May, Director of Sports Medicine at the University of Louisville. He has continued his involvement in providing Athletic Training services for various high school and other special athletic events, but most of his volunteer time is devoted to Mercy Academy, where he has assisted with Sports Medicine coverage for the last 23 years. He was recipient of the 2002 Clinical Athletic Trainer Award, given by the Kentucky Athletic Trainers Society. Ed is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, Kentucky Athletic Trainers Society, American Physical Therapy Association: Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Section and Kentucky Physical Therapy Association.

 
 
Dan Eckert, PT, MPT

Dan Eckert is a native of Louisville, Kentucky and a graduate of Trinity High School. He attended the University of Kentucky and received a Bachelors degree in Kinesiology/Exercise Science in 1998. Upon returning home, he continued his studies at the University of Louisville in their physical therapy program and graduated in 2001. Dan joined the Dr. Rudy J. Ellis Sports Medicine Center in 2001. Dan is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and Kentucky Physical Therapy Association.

 
 
George S. Sickles, PT, DPT

George graduated from Bellarmine University as a Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2005. He is a board certified Physical therapist. Clinically, his greatest interest is Orthopedic Outpatient Sports and Physical Therapy Rehab. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and in the future he plans to become a board certified orthopedic specialist. He participates in physical and sports events such as, the Mason Dixon games. As a therapist his motto is to treat each patient as if it was himself. George joined the Dr. Rudy J. Ellis Sports Medicine staff in 2005. He enjoys listening to music and spending a lot of time with his wife and daughter.

 
 
Theresa Richardson, PTA

Theresa Richardson is a Physical Therapist Assistant. She is a graduated from Butler Traditional High School and went on to receive her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Sports Medicine from the University of Louisville in 2001. She continued her education at Jefferson Community College in Downtown Louisville. In 2003, she earned her Associate in Applied Science from the Physical Therapist Assistant Program at JCC and graduated with High Distinction with a 4.0 GPA in the program. She joined the Dr. Rudy J. Ellis Sports Medicine Center family in December, 2003 having previously worked with the staff during a clinical rotation while in college. Since graduating college, she has completed continuing education courses in several areas of physical therapy including: electrical stimulation and ultrasound, orthopedics and custom molded orthotics. She is also a clinical instructor for Jefferson Community College. Theresa is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and Kentucky Physical Therapy Association.

 
 
Daryl George, PTA

Daryl George is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. He recently began his career with Dr. Rudy J. Ellis Sports Medicine Center immediately after graduating college. He began his college education in the summer of 2004 at Jefferson Community College. Daryl graduated with an Associate of Applied Science degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the summer of 2006. During his education he completed an internship at the Dr Rudy J. Ellis Sports Medicine Center. The staff was so impressed with Daryl they continued to watch his progress through the Physical Therapy Assistant program with hopes of luring him to the organization. Daryl has been an excellent addition to the Dr. Rudy J Ellis Family since he graduated in 2006.

 
 
William “Jack” Graham, ATC

Jack Graham is native of Fairdale, Ky. He is a graduate of Fairdale High School and attended the University of Louisville, graduating with a Bachelors of Arts and Science in 1995. Jack later became the Assistant Trainer for the University of Louisville and served as the Head Athletic Trainer for the women’s volleyball team. After spending 3 years with the university, he joined the Baptist Hospital Northeast from 2001-2006 and was the head athletic trainer for Oldham County High school and its 13 varsity sports. Jack joined the Dr. Rudy J. Ellis Sports Medicine Center in 2006. He is married to lovely Dana Graham and has two children Samantha and Jackson Graham. He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and Kentucky Athletic Trainers’ Society.

Joey Baribeau, PT

Joey Baribeau is a native of Bowling Green, KY where he did his undergraduate study at Western Kentucky University. He attended the University Of Louisville School Of Physical Therapy and graduated in 1995. Joey joined the Dr. Rudy J. Ellis Sports Medicine family in October, 1995. He is now managing the South End Medical Center location. Joey remains very dedicated to the local high schools by performing physicals and assisting with medical coverage for local sporting events. Joey is member of the American Physical Therapy Association: Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Section and Kentucky Physical Therapy Association.

 
 
Daniel Hass M.A.T., A.T.C.

Danny is a Certified Athletic Trainer specializing in sports medicine and rehabilitation. Danny graduated from the University of Louisville in 1988 with a Bachelor or Science in Sports Medicine/ Athletic Training. During his internship at U of L, he provided medical coverage for all of the universities sport teams but spent most of his years with the football, soccer and men’s basketball programs. While serving as a graduate assistant to the Athletic Training program, Danny received his Masters of Arts in Teaching in 1990 from the University or Louisville. Danny joined the Dr. Rudy J. Ellis Sports Medicine Center in 1989. In addition to working in the clinic, he devotes his time providing medical coverage for numerous high school and other special athletic events. He is a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association (NATA), Kentucky Athletic Trainer’s Society (KATS), and the Southeastern Athletic Trainer’s Association (SEATA).

 
 
Kevin Reichmuth, PT

Kevin Reichmuth is a native of Louisville. He attended Pleasure Ridge Park High School. He graduated from the University of Louisville with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 1994 and a Bachelor of Health Science in Physical Therapy in 1996. He was employed at Physiotherapy Associates from 1996 to 2000. He has assisted in medical coverage for PRP football since 1994 and continues to provide coverage for various other high school sporting events. Kevin joined the Dr. Rudy J. Ellis Sports Medicine Center in June 2000. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and Kentucky Physical Therapy Association.

 
 
Maria Wuerth PTA

Maria is a native of Louisville, Kentucky. She is a graduate of Assumption High School. She later returned to Jefferson Community College earning an Associates degree in Applied Science in the physical therapy assistant program. Maria joined the Dr. Rudy J. Ellis Sports Medicine Center in 2000.

 
 
Emily Pope PT, DPT

Emily Pope is a Louisville, KY native who attended Atherton High School. She was a devoted gymnast for many years and participated in soccer, swimming and rowing at Atherton. She graduated from Bellarmine University with an undergraduate degree in Health Science. She continued her education in their PT program receiving her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2006. Emily is a member of the Kentucky Physical Therapy Association and the American Physical Therapy Association’s sections of Women’s Health and Orthopaedic and Sports Physical Therapy.
