Dr. Rudy J. Ellis Sports Medicine Center

The Dr. Rudy J. Ellis Sports Medicine Center was established in 1981 to provide treatment for a variety of musculoskeletal injuries including rehabilitation after orthopedic surgery. Our physical therapists, certified athletic trainers, and physical therapy assistants are trained in the treatment of post-operative orthopedic procedures, fractures, acute sports injuries, arthritis, sprains, strains, as well as other orthopaedic injuries. They use a wide range of modalities and therapeutic techniques to expedite your recovery after an injury.

We have two locations currently serving the Kentuckiana area. The East End location in on the first floor at our new East Point Facility off Old Henry Road. It is open 7:30am-6:00pm Monday-Thursday and 8:30am-5:30pm on Friday. The Dixie highway location is in the The Dixie Building Suite 303. This location is open 8:00am-6:00pm Monday- Friday.

Appointments can be made at either office by calling directly or via a faxed order request.

High School

Currently the Dr. Rudy J. Ellis Sports Medicine Center provides clinical outreach into many high schools within the Jefferson County area. We employ six full time certified athletic trainers who volunteer their time to help injured athletes through out Louisville in a number of sports. Some of the schools we currently work with are:
