Tommy Board, PTA
Tommy grew up in Jeffersonville, IN. graduating from Jeffersonville High School in 1989. Tommy joined the United States Navy and is a Persian Gulf War veteran serving as a cryptologic technician providing commanders with tactical and strategic intelligence. Tommy served 3 ½ years in Rota, Spain with over 2 years of sea time and 3 ½ years in Japan serving as a safety of flight operator with over 1,000 flight hours.
After being Honorably discharged from the United States Navy, Tommy attended the University of Louisville and earned a bachelor of science degree in human and health performance with Cum Laude honors. In 2010, Tommy completed his associates degree from Jefferson Community and Technical College in the physical therapist assistant program.
Tommy is also a professional BMX racer, competing all over the world in his 28 year racing career. Tommy was the first racer to be inducted into the Kentucky BMX Hall-of-Fame. In 2008, Tommy became the first BMX racer to be funded by the Navy Sports Program. Tommy often donates his time to speaking engagements for the Brain Injury Alliance of Kentucky on helmet safety and plays drums in the Mike Bush All-Star Band at local Down syndrome benefit events.
Tommy is married and they have two beautiful daughters. |
