Brent Norton, M.Ed, MHA, ATC
Brent Norton began with the Dr. Rudy J. Ellis Sports Medicine Center in 1999 after completing his graduate work at the University of Louisville. He has earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Louisville. In 2000, he moved to Wisconsin where he worked with the Mercy Healthcare System in Lake Geneva, Illinois. Two years later he returned to Louisville and began his career at E & B as an office manager and clinical outreach athletic trainer. During his tenure he achieved a second master’s degree in health administration. Norton has been with E & B more than 15 years and has served as the Associate Administrator since 2014. On July 1, 2019 he was named Executive Director of Ellis & Badenahusen Orthopaedics, PSC. He has overseen the construction of both the Eastpoint Office Building and Dixie Building Complex projects. He has donated his time to various event coverage for the office including; KHSAA games, CSAA events, NCAA Championships and other regional athletic competitions. Brent obtained his Board Certification in Athletic Training in 1999. He is an active member of the NATA and AAOE.
Tom Steltenkamp, ATC
Tom Steltenkamp has been providing valuable medical and athletic training assistance to ensure the health and safety of athletes throughout the Louisville Metro area since 1985. He is a graduate of Ft. Thomas Highlands High School and the University of Louisville. He has been the Director of Athletic Training Services for the Dr. Rudy J. Ellis Sports Medicine Center since 1985 and Administrator for Ellis & Badenhausen Orthopaedics, PSC since 1999. Tom has helped provide sports medicine and athletic training coverage for Jefferson County athletes and medical coverage for all KHSAA Championships that are held in Jefferson County since 1985.
He currently is the vice-president of the prestigious Kentucky Athletic Hall of Fame. He is the former Co-director of the KMA/KHSAA Annual Coaches Medical Symposium. In addition, he has held the following positions with the Kentucky Athletic Trainers Society as president, vice-president and secretary.
He has received the following awards: 1995 recipient of the Kentucky High School Athletic Directors Association – Dr. Rudy J. Ellis Distinguished Service Award; 2000 recipient of the Southeastern Athletic Trainers Association – Clinical Athletic Trainer of the Year Award; 2004 Metro Athletic Directors – Hall of Fame; 2005 Kentucky Athletic Trainers Society – Award of Merit; 2006 Mason-Dixon Games – Hall of Fame; 2006 Dawahares Kentucky High School Athletic Association – Hall of Fame; 2007 Kentucky Athletic Trainers Society – Hall of Fame; 2007 Kentucky Derby Festival – Volunteer of the Year, and in 2012 he was a Legend Recipient for the Greater Louisville Football Coaches Association.
Brooke Haley, ATC, MBA
EastPoint Office Manager
Brooke Haley is a certified athletic trainer from Louisville, Kentucky. She graduated from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training. Upon graduating with her Bachelor's degree, she went on to be a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for Liberty's Cross Country and Trackand Field teams for two years. She earned her Master of Business Administration degree with a focus in Healthcare Management from Liberty in 2014. Brooke joined Ellis and Badenhausen Orthopaedics in August of 2015. Brooke continues to devote her time by providing medical coverage for numerous high school and other special athletic events. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA), Kentucky Athletic Trainer’s Society (KATS), andthe Southeastern Athletic Trainer’s Association (SEATA). In her spare time she enjoys running, college basketball and watching Red Sox baseball.
Information Technology Manager
Dane Spoelker is the IT Administrator for Ellis & Badenhausen Orthopaedics, PSC. Born and raised in Louisville, KY, Dane is a graduate of Trinity High School (2007) and Centre College (2011) where he played football and earned a Bachelors of Arts in Economics. Dane is one of the newer additions to the Dr. Rudy J. Ellis Sports Medicine family, having started in September of 2017. Dane is responsible for all Information Technology troubleshooting and maintenance for both of our Eastpoint and Dixie office buildings. He enjoys traveling, being active, time with family, and of course “keeping the lights on” at each office!
Joey Baribeau, PT, OCS

Joey Baribeau, is a native of Bowling Green, KY where he did his undergraduate study at Western Kentucky University. He attended the University Of Louisville School Of Physical Therapy and graduated in 1995. Joey joined the Dr. Rudy J. Ellis Sports Medicine family in October of 1995. He is an Orthopaedic Certified Specialist (OCS) through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and has been the Director of Physical Therapy since 2012. Driven by a desire to help people get back to living a full and complete life, Joey remains very dedicated to providing a great Physical Therapy experience for all of our patients. Joey is trained in a variety of treatments including Kinesiology taping, Graston Technique, Primal Reflex Release Techniques, Functional Movement Screens, and manual therapy techniques. Joey is a member of the Kentucky Physical Therapy Association (KPTA) and American Physical Therapy Association (APTA): Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Section.
