Joey Baribeau, PT
OCS- Director Dr. Rudy J. Ellis Sports Medicine Center
Joey Baribeau, is a native of Bowling Green, KY where he did his undergraduate study at Western Kentucky University. He attended the University Of Louisville School Of Physical Therapy and graduated in 1995. Joey joined the Dr. Rudy J. Ellis Sports Medicine family in October of 1995. He is an Orthopaedic Certified Specialist (OCS) through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and has been the Director of Physical Therapy since 2012. Driven by a desire to help people get back to living a full and complete life, Joey remains very dedicated to providing a great Physical Therapy experience for all of our patients. Joey is trained in a variety of treatments including Kinesiology taping, Graston Technique, Primal Reflex Release Techniques, Functional Movement Screens, and manual therapy techniques. Joey is a member of the Kentucky Physical Therapy Association (KPTA) and American Physical Therapy Association (APTA): Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Section.
Daryl George, PTA
Daryl George is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. He began his career with Dr. Rudy J. Ellis Sports Medicine Center immediately after graduating college. He began his college education in the summer of 2004 at Jefferson Community College. Daryl graduated with an Associate of Applied Science degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the summer of 2006. During his education he completed an internship at the Dr Rudy J. Ellis Sports Medicine Center. The staff was so impressed with Daryl they continued to watch his progress through the Physical Therapy Assistant program with hopes of luring him to the organization. He has been a member of the APTA since 2006 and has undergone specialty training in Kinesiotaping and Graston Soft Tissue Mobilization. Daryl has been an excellent addition to the Dr. Rudy J Ellis Family since he graduated in 2006.
Meghan Reynolds, PT, DPT
Meghan Reynolds is a native of Richmond, KY. She received her Bachelors of Health Science from Bellarmine University in 2009. She then attended Physical Therapy School at Bellarmine University and graduated in December 2010 with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. She has been a member of the Dr. Rudy J Ellis Sports Medicine team since January 2011.
Meghan presented a poster titled "A Comparative Study Among Ballet, Jazz,and Modern Dancers" at the 2011 APTA Combined Sections Meeting in which she received the 2011 Women's Health Research Poster Award. She then went on to publish the article "A Descriptive Study on Injury Prevalence Among Female Ballet, Jazz, and Modern Dancers" in the Journal of Women's Health Physical Therapy in 2013. Meghan is a member of the Kentucky Physical Therapy Association and the American Physical Therapy Association. She is a certified practitioner in Graston technique, Kinesiology Taping, and Dry Needling technique.
Krista Shake PT, DPT, MTC
Krista Shake is a native of Louisville, KY. She graduated from DuPont Manual High School and attended the University of Louisville receiving her Bachelor's degree in Biology in 1998. She continued on at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas (UNLV) School of Physical Therapy and graduated in 2002. She received her Manual Therapy Certification (MTC) in 2015 and finished her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2017 from the University of St. Augustine. She joined the Dr. Rudy J. Ellis Sports Medicine family in December of 2013.
Krista is a member of the Kentucky Physical Therapy Association (KPTA) and the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA): Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Sections.
Dan Eckert, PT, MPT
Dan Eckert is a native of Louisville, Kentucky and a graduate of Trinity High School. He attended the University of Kentucky and received a Bachelors degree in Kinesiology/Exercise Science in 1998. Upon returning home, he continued his studies at the University of Louisville in their physical therapy program and graduated in 2001. Dan joined the Dr. Rudy J. Ellis Sports Medicine Center in 2001. Dan is certified in custom molded orthotics, Graston technique, and Kinesiotape application. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and Kentucky Physical Therapy Association.
Maria Wuerth, PTA
Maria is a native of Louisville, Kentucky. She is a graduate of Assumption High School. She later returned to Jefferson Community College earning an Associates degree in Applied Science in the physical therapy assistant program. Maria joined the Dr. Rudy J. Ellis Sports Medicine Center in 2000.
Jeremy Still, PTA
Jeremy is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant and a native of Blakely, Georgia. Upon moving to Louisville he obtained an Associate in Applied Science degree from the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Jefferson Community and Technical College. Jeremy joined the Dr. Rudy J. Ellis Sports Medicine Team in August of 2012, having previously worked with the staff during a clinical rotation while in college. He has been an APTA member since 2013. Jeremy has completed the Graston Technique M1-Basic Training Course.
Rachel Cameron, PTA
Rachel is a native of Louisville, KY and a graduate of Jeffersontown High School. She later attended Jefferson Community and Technical College where she received her Associate in Applied Science degree in the Physical Therapist Assistant Program earning high distinction. Upon graduation, Rachel joined the Dr Rudy J. Ellis Sports Medicine Team in May 2014, having previously completed a clinical rotation there while in college. She has been a member of the APTA since 2014 and is trained in Kinesio Taping and Graston Technique.
Devin Conway, PT, DPT
Devin Conway is a native of Jeffersonville, IN. She received her Bachelor's degree in Health Science from the University of Cincinnati in 2014. She then continued her education at Bellarmine University where she received a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2017. She joined the Dr. Rudy J. Ellis Sports Medicine team in June of 2017. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.
Lexi Carico, PTA
Lexi is a native of Louisville, KY and a graduate of North Oldham High School. She attended Jefferson Community and Technical College where she received her Associate in Applied Science degree in the Physical Therapist Assistant Program. During her time at JCTC, She made the presidents scholars list was appointed the 2019 class representative. Upon graduation, Lexi joined the Dr Rudy J. Ellis Sports Medicine Team in July 2019, having previously completed a clinical rotation there while in college. She enjoys hiking and yoga in her free time.
Daniel Hass M.A.T., A.T.C.
Danny is a Certified Athletic Trainer specializing in sports medicine and rehabilitation. Danny graduated from the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine/ Athletic Training. During his internship at U of L, he provided medical coverage for all of the universities sport teams but spent most of his years with the men’s football, men’s and women’s soccer and men’s basketball programs. During the U of L’s men’s basketball team’s road to the 1986 NCAA basketball championship, Danny served as the head Athletic Trainer intern. While serving as a graduate assistant to the Athletic Training program, Danny received his Masters of Arts in Teaching in 1990, also from the University of Louisville. Danny joined the Dr. Rudy J. Ellis Sports Medicine Center in 1989. Danny continues to practice in the clinic as well as serve as site director of one of the two clinics.
Over the last 20 years, Danny has accumulated over 1,500 hours of continuing education in his field of expertise. In 2006, he began using Primal Reflex Release Technique™ (PRRT™) in the clinic and since then has received all the advanced level PRRT™ training in San Diego, CA. Danny has been authorized to instruct the PRRT™ Seminars by the founder of this work, John Iams, M.A., P.T. Please refer to John’s web site www.theprrt.com for more detailed information on this amazing pain-relieving technique. In addition to working in the clinic, Danny has lectured to the Kentucky High School Coaches Association on various topics. He has also addressed the Kentucky Athletic Trainers Society and the General Electric industrial medical staff on the topic of Recognition and treatment of Thoracic Inlet Syndrome.
Danny continues to devote his time by providing medical coverage for numerous high school and other special athletic events. He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA), Kentucky Athletic Trainer’s Society (KATS), and the Southeastern Athletic Trainer’s Association (SEATA).
George S. Sickles, PT, DPT
George graduated from Bellarmine University as a Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2005. He is a board certified Physical therapist. Clinically, his greatest interest is Orthopedic Outpatient Sports and Physical Therapy Rehab. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and in the future he plans to become a board certified orthopedic specialist. He participates in physical and sports events such as, the Mason Dixon games. As a therapist his motto is to treat each patient as if it was himself. George joined the Dr. Rudy J. Ellis Sports Medicine staff in 2005. He enjoys listening to music and spending a lot of time with his wife and daughter.
George was selected as a top physical therapist in Louisville, KY by the International Association for Healthcare Professionals (IAHCP). George's 2017 status has been improved and will be spotlighted in the renowned publication, Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare.
Kevin Reichmuth, PT
Kevin Reichmuth is a native of Louisville. He attended Pleasure Ridge Park High School. He graduated from the University of Louisville with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 1994 and a Bachelor of Health Science in Physical Therapy in 1996. He was employed at Physiotherapy Associates from 1996 to 2000. He has assisted in medical coverage for PRP football since 1994 and continues to provide coverage for various other high school sporting events. Kevin joined the Dr. Rudy J. Ellis Sports Medicine Center in June 2000. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and Kentucky Physical Therapy Association.
Brook Reichmuth, A.T.C
Brook Norton is a certified athletic trainer from Central Indiana. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training from Ball State University and a Master’s Degree from the University of Louisville. Brook spent five years as an athletic trainer for the University of Louisville Women’s Volleyball program before joining our team. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and the Kentucky Athletic Trainers’ Society.
Drew Cecil, PT, DPT
Drew is a New Haven, KY native who attended Bethlehem High School in Bardstown, KY. He played soccer and basketball while at Bethlehem and continues to enjoy exercise and the outdoors today. Drew graduated from Bellarmine University with his Bachelor’s in Health Science and continued his education in their Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program, graduating in 2012. Drew is a member of the Kentucky Physical Therapy Association and the American Physical Therapy Association. His areas of interest include orthopedic, manual and sports physical therapy. He plans to become nationally certified in orthopedics or sports rehab.
Craig Ballard, PTA
Craig is a licensed PTA and a native of Louisville, KY. He graduated from Butler High School in 2003 and joined the Marine Corps a few months later. While in the Marines, he served 2 tours of duty to Fallujah, Iraq. After returning home, he obtained an Associate in Applied Science degree from the PTA program at Jefferson Community and Technical College. Craig joined the Dr. Rudy J. Ellis Sports Medicine team in August 2012.
Tiffany Banks, PTA
Tiffany is a native to Louisville, Kentucky where she attended Seneca High School. She then continued her education and graduated from the University of Louisville with a Bachelor's in exercise science in 2011. She then obtained her PTA license after graduating from the PTA program at Jefferson Community and Technical College in 2014. She was awarded the class PTA award and maintained a 4.0 GPA. Tiffany joined the Dr. Rudy J Ellis Sports Medicine team in November of 2014.
Chris Vardeman, PT, DPT
Chris is a Louisville native who attended Pleasure Ridge Park High School, graduating in 2009. He played basketball and baseball in his youth and continues to participate in recreational sports and exercise. His drive to become a physical therapist began in high school, as a patient at Rudy Ellis Sports Medicine Center where he was treated for knee and shoulder injuries. Chris graduated from Bellarmine University in 2013 with his Bachelor’s in Exercise Science and again in 2018 with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Chris is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association as well as Kentucky Physical Therapy Association. He plans to become nationally certified as an Orthopedic Specialist.
